Gerrie Geelen is 45 years old and one of the women who play's 3cushion for the longest time. She is the number 3 of Holland and also the number 3 of Europe. 

1. You are one of the women, who play's 3cushion for the longest time. Are there many changes in women billiards, if you compare it to 10 years ago?

Yes, 10 years ago there were no official Dutch-, European- and World Championships. There also wasn't a European- or World Rankinglist for ladies.

2. What is your nicest memory from the last 10 years in 3cushion?

My nicest memory is my second place at the World Championship in Valencia, Spain in 2004.

3. You are a mother now for some years already. Did many change in your billiard carreer since then?

Yes, of course. The first period, until my daughter was 2 years old, I put myself on the last place, so my practise also stopped. In my situation, you do whatever you can and I think that it goes very well. I found a good way to combine my billiards, my work and being a mother, though it is hard sometimes.

4. Would you like to play more billiards, to practise more and what is the way to realize that?

It was perfect when we had practise from Christ van der Smissen. Your practise feels much better, when you can show that you practised your subject material. And you get to learn and understand more from the game. To bad that it stands still for a long time already.

5. How do you see the future of womenbilliards, if you were in charge?

The ladies need to get lessons and good escort with the National, European-, and World Championships, that is very important.
