Gulsen Degener was born in Sanliurfa, Turkey. She lives in Berlin, Germany and in Turkey. She playes billiards for many, many years. She playes in different competitions, so she has to fly a lot between Germany and Turkey. She is several Turkish and German champion. In 2005 she became number 3 at the European championship and also at the World Championships in 2006 and 2008 she was the number 3.  At the European championship in 2009 she was also the number 3. Her average is around 0,600.
